Katie grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Born a creative she has experimented with many artistic mediums but is most drawn to sketching, painting and photography. She attended the University of Maine at Orono where she pursued a degree in Elementary Education. This is when her love of Maine began. She and her husband settled in the MetroWest area of Massachusetts where they raised a family. As her two children became independent she began building her own photography business. She attended classes at the Worcester Art Museum and New England School of Photography. She is a well known cycling photographer in New England area. She also photographs weddings, senior portraits, family portaits and has done brand photography. Nature photography is her true love, especially while using her macro lens. During the covid shutdown Katie picked up her paintbrush, began revisiting the easel and developing her style. Katie’s artwork has been exhibited and sold at the Newburyport Art Association. She holds a membership at the Concord Art Association and the Newburyport Art Association. Her photography has been on display at the Fruitlands Museum. She has been published in Cyclocross Magazine and featured on Innervoice Life and Boston Voyager Magazine. Her cycling photos have been purchased by Fuji, Pactimo, Castelli, Veloccio, Verge, SRAM, Mavic as well as many other major brands. She has also been a shortlisted photographer in the world renowned Mark Gunter Photography awards several times. |
